The indiscernible me in me-tropolis

About City

A midsummer evening dull in neon glow,
Sweat drenched arms, fingers, eyebrow.
Distant shatter, breaking windshields,
Hash smoke floats in our perfume laden breath.

Metals screech on bone china plates,
A burning moth in a flutter of candle flame.
Red wine stains on paper napkins,
Still expressionless eyes of my dinner mannequin.
